1981 年 8 ⽉ 7 日生まれ。コントラバス奏者の父、
ピアニストの母を持ち、幼少期よりピアノ、ヴァイオリンに触れて育つ。 ベーシストとしてロックバンドを経由した後、再びクラシック音楽の世界へ。
19歳よりコントラバスを始め翌年、桐朋学園大学音楽学部⼊学。在学中は故 ⻄田直⽂⽒に師事。その後父、渡辺恭⼀⽒に師事する。
同学ディプロマコースを経て都内プロオーケストラへのエキストラ出演を中心に室内楽、劇伴レコーディング、後進の指導など多岐にわたるフィールドで活動する。
現代の音響機器への知識、音響学への造詣の深さをもとに、音楽と様々な業種との橋渡しを得意とし、これまで飲食店、寺院、プラネタリウム等とのコラボレーションを成功させ、生演奏の素晴らしさを多彩な企画へと昇華させている。

Ko Watanabe
Born on August 7, 1981.
His father is a contrabassist and his mother is a pianist. He used to play the piano and violin.
After he performed in some rock bands, he back to classical music world.
Started to play the contrabass since he was 19, and he enrolled Toho Gakuen College Music Depaertment.
He studied with Naofumi Nishida when he was in the college, and he studied with his father Kyoichi Watanabe.
He works a lot of fields, performing in professional orchestra in Tokyo as a extra player mainly, chamber music, recording BGM, coaching, etc.
Recently he performs as contrabassist and electric bassist.
He hols orchestra's and rock band's bottom sounds and groove.
